Our Age Groups

Ministars
A fun introduction to football focused on coordination, building confidence, and lots of time with the ball. Ministars train with extra-light, size 3 footballs to make their football introduction as enjoyable and beneficial as possible.
3-5 Years

Future Stars
Building technique, confidence, and an intristic sense of progress. Through practice and positive feedback, children experience the satisfaction of improving through what they have learned. Getting better at football becomes part of the fun.
Young Stars

6-8 Years
Developing stronger technical skills, positional awareness, and decision-making is emphasized in this group. Children learn to understand different roles, read the game, interpret space, and find better positions on and off the ball. This helps them become more confident and aspire to keep improving.

Why TFS?
Small groups. More attention.
TFS keeps training groups deliberately small, with a maximum of 8 children in the Ministars and 10 in Future Stars and Young Stars. Smaller groups mean more individual attention, greater involvement, and activities designed for maximum ball contact. With limited numbers in each group, children train in an environment where they feel comfortable and can build confidence.
More time with the ball
Smaller groups mean less waiting time and more involvement. Every child trains with a football appropriate for their age, size, and development. Every activity is designed to be fun, to maximize ball contact, and to stimulate creativity and thinking.
Age-specific groups
In addition to keeping small groups, we also have age-specific groups. Children can feel intimidated when training with bigger or stronger players. At TFS, children train in age-specific groups alongside others at a similar stage of development, creating an environment where they can feel comfortable, build confidence, and focus on learning.
TFS is also open to introducing girl-specific groups when interest grows and will add new groups according to demand.
Football and character
Football teaches lessons that extend far beyond the pitch. Children learn to enjoy, listen, work with others, overcome setbacks, solve problems, keep trying, and continue improving.
At TFS, children are also given opportunities to take responsibility. Future Stars will regularly become captain for a training session, wear the captain's armband, and help with small tasks. Young Stars will receive their own football boot brush and be encouraged to clean their boots before the next training.
Small Groups for More Growth

Small-group training gives children more opportunities to participate, experiment, make decisions, and learn. Less time is spent waiting, and children remain active throughout the session.
Children work directly with the ball for most of the session. The only times they are not actively with a ball at their feet is when doing work with a partner, and during the small match towards the end of the session.
This small-group structure allows me to closely observe each child and provide individual corrections, demonstrations, and guidance.
TFS Philosophy
I designed the concept of TFS with three major areas of focus:
1. Building the highest possible level of technical football ability and developing a high football IQ. This area is purely focused on football, but many aspects of working towards these goals carry over into life- for example, gaining confidence by practicing something and seeing yourself improve.
2. The second area of TFS is creating a mindset that allows children to train and perform without feeling anxious about how well they are doing. Stress, anxiety, fear, and worry can have a major impact on not only developing minds, but people in general, in many areas of life. I recognize these feelings very quickly in children because I was like that myself playing football as a child. During training breaks or after a session, I take the time to speak with children, understand their fears, and help them work through them.
3. The third major area of TFS is building character. Football gives children opportunities to learn responsibility, discipline, respect, teamwork, and perserverance. Through training, children learn how to respond to challenges, support others, take responsibility for their actions, and continue trying when something is difficult.
